Lucky Number 24!

Yesterday at Band Camp, we learned our drill, (which is where you go on the feild.) My number is 24! That is a lucky number for me because thats my mom's favorite number and the day of Miss Cranberry County!! I am a little nervous because so far all my drill dots are right in front!! Ahhh!!! I am excited but I sure have a lot of work to do!! I am hoping that 24 will give me some good luck! (:

Practice Makes Perfect.

"Practice is everything. This is often misquoted as Practice makes perfect."

Everyday I practice my Colorguard Flag work for at least 20mins. When I first learned the flag work, it was not very pretty. But because I never give up and strive to make myself better in everything I do, my flag work is now really great!! Practice really is the best of all instructors.

“Practice as if you are the worst, perform as if you are the best.”

CMT Bead!

CMT awareness week is coming up soon! (: My mom and I have found someone who makes glass beads like the ones you can put on a Pandora bracelet. We have asked if the woman if she would make one for CMT. She said yes! So if anyone would like to buy a bead let me know!! <3

Welcome! (:

Hello everyone!
For those who don't know, my name is Amy de Silva. I am 14 years old and have Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease. CMT, affects every 1 in 2500 people of every age and walk of life. CMT affects an estimated 2.6 million people. CMT, is also the most commonly inherited neurological disorder.

So why am I here? I want to spread awareness of CMT and let everyone (but especially the youth) know that its okay to be different. I live by this quote: "If you are lucky enough to be different from everyone else, don't change." Taylor Swift came out with this quote a couple of years ago, and ever since, I have embraced being different. I hope you will too. (:
